WEED AND SEED is a community-based, collaborative effort that builds partnerships between federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, social service providers, government agencies, businesses and neighborhood residents under the shared goal of " weeding " out violent crime, gang activity and blight, while " seeding " in social services and neighborhood revitalization.
